Dog eat dog

Here's a picture of our dog, Franklin. He'll be living with us when the house is done, if he graduates puppy school. We went up to the house today and the first floor wiring is complete and the fuse box is in the basement. The next step is probably a little more plumbing and then the trench digging for the electric and sewer lines.

Pics (and electric) as promised!

Here's a nice picture of the front door. The stucco around the windows will be curved at the top similar to the glass on the door.

Also, the electrician actually was up there! The entire 2nd floor looks wired. The power boxes are in on the first floor, but no wires are run yet. Some more registers also got put in as well as the ceiling brackets for our kitchen lights.

Some New Stuff

We went up over the weekend and the front door and sliding glass door have been installed. The electrician is scheduled for this week, so hopefully, we'll have some more pics tomorrow!

Updates all over

After a two week break, stuff is finally moving again. All of the drains are in and some of the spouts. Also, all the areas getting duct work are cut and some of it is in. The fireplace also was installed.

The front door and sliding glass door are up there, but not installed. They were sitting in the garage, but you can still see it below.

Cabinets and Countertop

No, they're not in, but I thought since we aren't going to the house tonight, I'd update everyone on what the kitchen will look like. The cabinets are 'wild cherry' finish on cherry wood. The countertops will be Cambria, which is a solid surface countertop that looks like quartz, but is low maintenance and non-porous. The color we picked in called Carlisle Gray.

Windows and Concrete actually do mix!

...well, figuratively anyway. When we went up to the lot, we got a special surprise! Not only was the basement and garage concrete poured, but we had all of our windows in! Next up: plumbing and electric.

Ha ha ha, even rain can't stop us

Well, maybe. The next step is to pour the basement and garage concrete, so we don't know if that will happen since it's raining every afternoon this week.

After that (or hopefully in conjunction), will be the electrician and the plumber. Julie and I will be up there tomorrow with an update!

Raking the basement

Well, no pics this time. Julie went up during the day today and they were raking the stones out in the basement. Hopefully, this means that they will pour the basement floor and garage tomorrow!
